Description
This hand knows hardship through its 90+ years, through wartimes, householding with three children and no telephone. This is a fine woman, however hardy she is, she is proud, and worked to build a family and two homes, straddling three or four generations. Her husband was a horticulturist who raised all sorts of things with his green thumb, so it is only natural that she should reach out with love for this offering of turning leaves from her favorite season, fall. This woman whose hands were always busy doing wonderful things praised the artist’s hands, as well. And in them is the beauty of age, with its well-marked passageways, the veins in hands and leaves both prominent and flowing.
