Hunting the Hunters, recreating a Highland Gaelic past by learning falconry was tops on my list four years ago at Dalhousie Castle in Scotland. These birds of prey are majestic. It was thrilling just standing next to all that strength hurtling through the air and landing on my arm to eat his afternoon snack. For the falcon, a stronger gauntlet was necessary to keep their talons from piercing my arm.
