Almost Grown – Pencil

Description

This 14″ x 11″ Pencil Drawing, “Almost Grown,” I did sitting in the audience of one of the largest art conventions in the U.S., a session in the Portrait Society of America’s 2016 event. The model was quite lovely and a bit shy, I thought. I loved the spirit I perceived in her of thoughtful independence.

She was done on  tan toned drawing paper as a fun exercise, a model who sat on the stage seen in large stage mirrors. Such a serious young lady. I thoroughly enjoyed the exercise, executed rather quickly.
